The House of Smalls

STOP PRESS

Wonderful news the exhibition has been extended for 1 more week. So now the end date is 5th August 2023 and there will be a “Meet the Artist” during the afternoon.

I am really looking forward to meet some of the other artist and would love to meet you to if you can make it.

I am so delighted to tell you about an exhibition I have the honour of having 2 doll in. It’s entitled DOLLS, so as you can imagine it is prefect for me and my art.

“It is an anxious, sometimes a dangerous thing to be a doll. Dolls cannot choose; they can only be chosen; they cannot ‘do’; they can only be done by.”

Don’t you just love the way they have curated the show, I love the frames they have used for the dolls to sit in. I will definitely be building a few of those for myself. As well as the dolls I also have a range of prints available which I am delighted with. The exhibition has now been extended for a week which means it will be running till the 5th of August.

The art works are on show in the gallery and also a dolls house which exhibits smaller works, with its own visitors, really unique idea. It is such a wonderful place and I do recommend a visit if you are in the area, for this and any other exhibition they hold. There website is linked to the image below and here is their Instagram link.

Opened in February 2023, The House of Smalls is a little independent art gallery hosting unique shows in the heart of the historic North Cotswolds market town of Chipping Campden. Setting itself apart from more commercial galleries, The House of Smalls is proud to create opportunities and provide a space for local, UK-wide, and international artists to exhibit personal, diverse, and thought-provoking work in themed 3-4 week long exhibitions. Recent shows have explored issues such as menopause, hidden (physical and mental) scars, dependency and addiction, and confinement.
